The Faculty of Arts and Humanities and its Institute of Human Sciences (Philosophy) is seeking to fill the following position as of

W2 – University Professorship (f/m/d)
for Practical Philosophy
Requirements:
We are seeking a candidate who can represent the sub-discipline of practical philosophy in its full breadth and depth. A solid grounding in the history of philosophy is expected. We also desire a research focus in female figures in the history of philosophy and science and/or feminist philosophy and/or related areas.
The successful candidate should have an established academic track record in both research and teaching, along with international experience. The candidate is expected to engage actively in all philosophy degree programs (teaching and non-teaching), as well as in interdisciplinary courses, including examination duties. In addition to the modules on practical philosophy, the teaching should also cover the modules on the “legacy of women philosophers and scientists” and on “heterogeneity”. A proven track record in securing third-party funding is welcome. The position also entails active participation in various committees within Paderborn University. We anticipate commitment to the development of young scholars and the creation of new research and teaching focuses. Teaching in German is mandatory, we expect negotiation-level proficiency.
